You really should look into all your options. For most people the annual pass doesn't offer much savings, unless they plan on going often and not just for one trip. Right now you can buy the 5 day ticket for adults and children for only $149. So it is quite a difference between the two. It just depends on how many days you actually plan to go to Disneyland and if the annual pass will pay for itself.
I'd also look into the Southern California City Pass $159 for children under 10 and $199 for anyone 10 and up. This will get you not only to Disneyland, but some of the other parks in the area, and it is quite a savings if you are wanting to go to the other parks.
As far as the best price. The best thing to do is buy the tickets directly from Disney or your Travel Agent, either in your package or seperately. Be careful if you want to buy from an online discounter as they are not always real. Especially with eBay you want to be very cautious. People are often selling bad tickets, as in they are non-transferrable, expired, or have no days left. You may be able to find some tickets that can save you a little money, only to find that the tickets are fake when you arrive and then have to buy them at full price at the gate. So just be careful and realize the safest way is to purchase them from a reliable source. You may spend a little more this way, but in the end it may save you a lot of money.
Hope this helps!

Check out Costco, They have the best value out there, I think it is 4 days for the price of 2. You can also go to a Disney Store in any major mall and get tickets at a better value, plus you don't have to stand in line when you get to the park. I think AAA offers discount tickets too.

It can prove more cost effective to buy an all year pass, i think you can get one for $99 which is equivelent to 3 days individual. soooo you do the Math. Depends how long you are visiting for really.

Your best bet is via Disney on-line.
