Possibilities are endless in LA. Check out Paris Hilton's giant list of things to do in LA.

2nd date is an interesting one. He's passed the initial interview, now you want to get to know him better. You don't necessarily have to have an "escape hatch" in case the date goes bad (at least it's an option, not a requirement).

Day at the beach, like Santa Monica Pier and Venice? You can even ride bikes.

A train ride or car trip to Santa Barbara or San Diego would be nice, you will have plenty of time to talk. Check out State Street and the beach in SB, or the Gaslamp District or Old Town in SD. If you take the train to SD, eat at Anthony's, it's right on the waterfront.

Lots of movies to see, but that's not very good for talking and getting to know one another.

Good luck!

Disc golf? Queen Mary? Shooting range? Long Beach has great restaurants (La Creperie, Johnny Rebs, etc.)

Have sex?

Okay, barring that, the beach is the obvious choice, but expect it to be crowded.

Is is from around here? Then he's probably seen all the sites. If he not a local, there are so many possibilities, you'll be exhausted just thinking about them. Keep in mind that many places are closed or need reservations in advance

Consider The Huntington Library.

Take him to a firing range. Check out the gun laws first, so he doesn't get a free ride in one of our black and white taxis.

Check out what's left of Griffith park. Pick up the free charcoal briquettes, then have a BBQ later.

Take him to one of those so-called authentic pubs. Do a google search for pubs and los angeles.

Or just take him out to eat.
