The Camino Real (Royal Road) goes all along the coast of California. It was the road created by Spanish missionaries in the 1770s that connected all the missions that they founded. Most sections of this road are still in use today (of course, it's been upgraded quite a bit).

Well I know of the El Camino Real, but the only Calle Real that I'm familiar with is a shopping mall in Santa Barbara.

Calle Real (Royal Street) is a street in Santa Barbara County/Goleta California. It has a lot of Hotels, Restaurants and Shopping. =-)

to correct Marker- the spanish word "real" is the word real in english. they just sound differently but mean the same. in refering to Calle Real, it does mean royal street but other than that, its the other real
