Anaheim is most definitely in California and on Google Maps.

http://maps.google.com/maps?client=opera&rls=en&q=anaheim+ca&oe=utf-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=Anaheim,+CA&gl=us&ei=YJS7TMSlJInQsAOCv9XsDg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCAQ8gEwAA

Your nearest airport will be John Wayne International (abbreviation SNA) in Santa Ana, CA although many folks prefer to fy into Los Angeles International (abbreviation LAX).

As to finding airline tickets, if you go to Kayak.com you can compare the rates on most of the online travel services. If you need Disneyland tickets, go to Disneyland.com and click on the tickets link.

Well, for flying I generally fly into Los Angeles (LAX) and take the Disneyland Resort Express from the airport to the Disneyland area. It is quite inexpensive compared to other forms of transportation and you cannot miss it, it is covered with scenes of Disneyland and/or Disney characters. It will, for most hotels in the Disney area, drop you off right at the door or, in some cases, a short walk from the front door. The bus is operated by Grayline.

For the plane tickets you would look at booking a return flight from your home airport to LAX which you should be able to find in any online airline search engine. Once you get there are retrieve your luggage head out the arrivals door and across to the shuttle bus departures.

As for hotels, there are a variety in the Anaheim area of varying price and quality. The Howard Johnson is a nice hotel and is a short walk away from the entrance. One I have stayed at is the Sheraton at the Park which I found quite nice (avoid adjoining rooms if possible) and it is a fairly short walk or you can take the ART shuttle which runs all day. If you do the 5 day pass is the best value and allows you unlimited use for the 5 day period.

If you want an idea of the hotels available check out the Disneyland website which has links to their travel company. They are a bit pricier than some others however they will give you a good idea of what is available in the area. The website is http://disneyland.disney.go.com/?name=HomePage

The website also contains schedules of events happening at Disneyland and California Adventures as well as opening times and any rides or attractions that will be closed during your stay. This is really useful as it prevents last minute disappointments. You know what is open and how long you have to see everything. It also contains links to purchasing tickets and any special deals that are available. At the moment you save between $20 and $40 per person for park hopper tickets purchased online from their website.

Oh...only purchase a park hopper pass and the longer the pass is valid for, the cheaper the cost per day. For example, purchased online a 3 Day is $186 per person for you and your oldest, $165.00 for the youngest. A 6 day is only $30 more per person for you and your oldest, $25 for the youngest.

A park hopper pass allows you to visit both Disneyland and California Adventures on the same day and is, in my opinion, a much better deal.

One more thing, try to take in a character breakfast if you can afford it, they are an excellent way to meet a variety of characters. They are available in all 3 of the Disney hotels as well as Disneyland Park (Breakfast with Minnie). California Adventures also offers a lunch with the Disney Princesses. My last trip there I did all of the breakfasts and the Princess lunch. Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel is the oldest and a good place to see characters. Minnie's breakfast in the Park is also a good place to go. The Paradise Pier is also nice and the one at the Grand Californian was a bit different in some of the food items (they generally all offer the same selection)...I enjoyed them all.

Anaheim is a part of Greater Los Angeles. Google "Anaheim".

Go to the Disneyland website for ticket information.

You can telephone at: 866-603-4763

You plane will probably land at Los Angeles International Airport, commonly called LAX.

There are several airports you can fly into.

It's a trade off - you may get a less expensive flight if you land in LAX, but you'll have the added expense of renting a car or finding other transportation to Anaheim. John Wayne Int'l is by far the closest airport, and there most hotels offer free shuttles from the airport. You can also fly into Long Beach, Ontario or Burbank airports, but you'll have to deal with transportation to Anaheim.

In terms of air tickets, it would help to know where you're coming from. The travel sites like Expedia are good, but do not include discount airlines like Jet Blue or Southwest, where you are likely to get the lowest prices.

For a hotel, I HIGHLY suggest you visit www.mousesavers.com. They have great information on lodging and good places to get pre-purchased discount passes to Disneyland. You can save a bunch of money by following the advice from this site, so don't miss it!!! My suggestion for lodging is the Howard Johnson in Anaheim. Enter discount code: LKMS for an extra 15% off!

DEFINATELY Disneyland! Disneyland has much to choose from! They have rides, games, restaurants, hotels and resorts nearby (not to mention parades on holidays and special events) . It is so much fun! They even have all the Disney characters! But California Adventure park has very little rides and from what I've heard from most of my friends who went there, doesn't have too much to offer...but either way they are really close. But I would suggest Disneyland. ;)

Anaheim is approximately 25 miles southeast of Los Angeles, along I-5. You'll need a large-scale map of the LA metro area to see it.

It is technically in Anaheim, but if you go to Los Angeles and drive to Disneyland it's not a long drive. I would recommend flying to Los Angeles and driving. It is not a long enough drive to be a bother.
