So ill be moving to los angeles in the fall to attend los angeles community college (is it a good school that ill be able to transfer from into USC for their pharmacy program?)

and I want to live in a nice neighborhood(im willing to pay more for it!), so what are the best?

I looked into a place around Rancho Los Feliz (is it nice?)

and the most important: I DONT WANT TO DRIVE IN HOURS OF TRAFFIC! So I want my nice neighbor hood/apartment to be within not a very far drive, so I don't have to sit in tons of traffic; maybe even walking distance?

Thanks for your help!!!! and I will make sure to select a best answer.

LACC is a typical community college, they are all rather similar in the LA area, including transfer rates. The USC pharmacy program has competitive admissions and you must make sure you take all the required pre-pharm classes, here are the LACC equivalencies:

Do you mean you are considering the Rancho Los Feliz apartments? They are fine, I know people who have lived there. Technically, they are in Atwater, not Los Feliz. There is a par 3 golf course next door. The Los Feliz area can be quite expensive, it's considered a desirable LA neighborhood, Atwater is less expensive. Most of the area that would be convenient for you to live has older apartments, (many very nice and expensive in Los Feliz), but there isn't much in the way of newer buildings.

You can probably find something even closer than Rancho Los Feliz. You want to try to avoid commuting on Los Feliz Bl, it gets really jammed up. The closest you'd likely want to live near LACC is north of Sunset or Hollywood Bl. Further north is nicer, and will cost you more. The best thing to do is go check out any rental ads for the area, and then drive around the neighborhoods to see what you like. Try streets north of Sunset close to Vermont Ave. If you don't find anything, try expanding maybe to Wilton Pl. on the west and Talmadge St. to the east. There are some pockets of nice neighborhoods close to LACC, around Melrose Ave, but mostly houses. You'd want to drive around and see what there is and what you are comfortable with.

Rancho Los Feliz is very nice.

But if you don't want to deal with traffic, don't come to LA. It comes with the territory.

If you can afford Rancho Los Feliz, go for it!
