Terrorists will have been thinking of all kinds of places to hit, and a theme park would suit some of them.

Generally, though, executing another terrorist attack here would require a great deal of patience and planning and preparedness, and I think they would not waste such a great deal of effort on just killing a lot of people. The country can go about its business just fine if Disneyland disappeared.

Not so if an entire airport was blown up, or a large refinery. There are transportation hubs that would cause significant disruption.

It all depends on what element of terrorism is involved, of course. Some are just interested in being martyrs and making a big splash, so a theme park would appeal. al-Qaida is much more serious about doing significant, long term damage.

No. Although there are a lot of Southern California residents who go to Disneyland daily. There are also lots of tourists, especially from foreign countries. It is one thing to piss off Americans; but another to piss off the world. It is hard enough to get foreign support for one of our wars; but if a country had it's residents killed there by terrorists I'm sure they would want to back us up. Remember we stayed out of World War II until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, so other countries might feel the same if they lost their people.

Disney has increased its security since 9/11 with bag checks at the front gate. They also closed the Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough for several reasons, one of which is it being difficult to evacuate and difficult to monitor. They also do not make their attraction plans public, possibly to deter attacks.

Will it ever be attacked? Impossible to say. They are doing more to protect visitors, though.

I certainly hope not. I hope there are no more terrorist attacks. Hopefully the security is high.

Anything could happen anywhere I'd be more worried about an Earthquake!

Seriously though, you can't live your life in fear of the things that 'might happen'.

I hope not, but I hope we don't have any more terrorist attacks. We really aren't safe anywhere we go, but we can't live our lives in fear. Sometimes you just have to take your chances. There is the possiblity something could happen anywhere I go, but it's not going to stop me.

Disney takes a lot of precautions to make sure everything is safe. And I feel confident they are doing everything they can to prevent something from happening.
