Question:
How do you get into Hollywood Red-Carpet Premieres?

Well I will start off by saying that a few of my friends got into the Twilight Premiere, actually stood on the red carpet and met the whole cast and took pictures, just by arriving there about a half hour early by driving. They also did not even have to pay anything getting in! All they did was stand in line to get a wrist band.
Now I don't know if thats how it works for every Movie Premiere, but I am wondering myself because I would like to go to at least 1 of these 3 movie premieres:
The Spirit
Terminator:Salvation
and New Moon

First of all, I have come by enough information for the Spirit to know what time and where this premiere will be at. But, is it that easy to simply drive there and stand in line?
Please, if anyone can offer me information about any of those three movies and their premieres, I would be so ever grateful.
Also, Terminator: Salvation is the most important premiere to me that I MUST go because I have been waiting to meet Christian Bale for so long- I am even willing to stand in line for 2 nights if necessary to get in.

Thank you, and any help is much appreciated! :)

Generally the public cannot get into movie premieres. The invited premiere guests must have a ticket or their name left at Will Call. Then one must show ID to pick up the ticket or badge. There are too many stalkers out there, so they are very careful.

Sometimes premieres are open to the public, often there are contests through radio stations, charity auctions, etc. It sounds like that is what your friends went to. Google the premiere you'd like to attend and see if any type of give away or contest comes up. Sometimes those aren't the real premieres, but premieres they have at many locations. Premieres held at Universal are a good bet for the public, because there can be a couple thousand people and they tend to give away tickets to fill seats, where many premieres are much smaller and hard to get tickets to.

I hate to disappoint you, but even if you attend a premiere, you will likely not meet any of the stars, unless you are in the vip tent at the after-party, which is only open to certain people.

I don't think you can just line up for the Spirit premiere next week in Hollywood and get in, sorry. But if you arrive about 2 hours before the premiere you might be able to see someone on the red carpet, depending on how they have the street set up.

You have to be invited to attend a premiere. I have heard in some cases, fans can go and stand along the red carpet to take pictures and get autographs, but not on it. That's not an usual occurrence though. Usually along the red carpet, there is press asking questions about the film and taking pictures.
